The 59th convocation of Doaba College, Jalandhar was held on December 14, 2009 at Virendra Auditorium in Doaba College, Jalandhar.   Dr. Iqbal Singh, Lt. Governor, Puducherry graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and delivered the convocation address.  He was accorded a hearty welcome by Sh. Chander Mohan – President Arya Shiksha Mandal and College Managing Committee, Sh. Alok Sondhi- Gen. Secretary, Sh. Rajinder Mayor-Treasurer, Principal -Dr. Naresh Kumar Dhiman, staff and students. 
          Dr. Iqbal Singh, Sh. Chander Mohan and Principal Dr. Naresh Kumar Dhiman awarded graduate and post graduate degrees for the session 2006-07 and 2007-08 to  about 416 students – B.A.-70, BCA-20, B.Sc-IT -10, B.Com/B.Com (Prof.)/BBA- 100, M.Com-10, B.Sc (B.T)-30, B.Sc -30, B.Sc (E.M.)-1, M.Sc (Math)-50, M.A. (Eng.)-10, M.A. (Punjabi)-10, MJMC-25, M.A (Eco.)-10, M.A. (Comp. Sci)-10, M.A (Pol. Sci.) -27, M.Sc (IT) -4 and MBE-2.
          Sh. Chander Mohan, Sh. Alok Sondhi, Sh. Rajinder Mayor and Principal- Dr. Naresh Kumar Dhiman awarded a Shawl and memento as a token of love and mark of respect to the Chief Guest Dr. Iqbal Singh.   Sh. Alok Sondhi extended the vote of thanks.   Sh. Vivek Sondhi, Dr. Satpal Gupta, Sh. Ravi Mittal, Principal Dr. Atima Sharma were present on this occasion.
