Dear Students
I heartily welcome you to the portals of Doaba College, Jalandhar, one of the top twenty two colleges of India. The college has been pioneering the noble task of education since its inception in 1941. We have successfully blended our traditional roots with dynamic progressive approach for teaching and learning.
We envisage to make this great temple of learning a place to promote freedom of thought, innovation and creativity which are essential for academic excellence. We have to transform our country by creating a knowledge based society. We may not always be able to build the future of our youth- but we should build our youth to face the future confidently. We should not only produce job seekers but also produce job creators. True education gives to a person knowledge, skill & above all the very attitude of life. Education is a life long process designed to mould ones behaviour into a socially acceptable one. Education is not preparation for life, education is life itself. 
Education begins when the teachers learns from the learner, puts himself in his place so that he may understand what the learner learns and the way he understands it-
“Tell me and I’ll forget,
Show me, and I may not remember,
Involve me and I’ll understand”
Three things give the student the possibility of surpassing his teacher-ask a lot of questions, remember the answers and teach others.
