DOABA COLLEGE, JALANDHAR

As per the order of Supreme Court of India and subsequent Notification from University Grants Commission (UGC), Doaba College has constituted the anti-ragging cell to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging including any conduct by any student or students whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student, or indulging in unfair means or undisciplined activities by any student or students which causes or is likely to cause annoyance, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension. Anti-Ragging Cell is the supervisory and advisory committee in preserving a Culture of Ragging Free Environment in the college Campus. The main objectives of this cell are as follows:

1. To aware the students of dehumanizing effect of ragging inherent in its perversity.
2. To keep a continuous watch and vigil over ragging so as to prevent its occurrence and recurrence.
3. Promptly and stringently deal with the incidents of ragging brought to our notice.
4. To generate an atmosphere of discipline by sending a clear message that no act of ragging shall be tolerated and any act of ragging shall not go unnoticed and unpunished.
