P.G. Department of Mathematics, Doaba College, Jalandhar organised webinar on Analytics and Optimization in Energy and Healthcare. The resource person for the event was Dr. Saurav Sharma, Application Analyst, Mount Sinai Health System, New York USA.

Prof Gulshan Sharma HoD P.G department of Mathematics, welcomed the resource person of the Webinar. He briefed the students about the research area of the resource person and discussed the objective of webinar is  to encourage  students to explore the fundamental concepts of Optimization modeling and its objectives.

Principal Dr. Pardeep Bhandari addressed the students and informed them about the practical importance of Mathematics and motivated the students to investigate renewable energy sources, energy-efficient technologies, and smart grid solutions and stressed that  by developing innovative approaches, students can play a crucial role in shaping a more sustainable and equitable energy future.
 

The webinar on Analytics and Optimization in Energy and Healthcare focused on the application of data analytics and optimization techniques in two critical sectors: Energy and Healthcare. The presentation provided an exceptional overview of how analytics and optimization techniques can be effectively applied to solve complex challenges in energy management and healthcare systems. It broadened understanding of how advanced analytics can be utilized to improve resource efficiency, streamline healthcare processes, and contribute to sustainable energy solutions and students are being encouraged to explore innovative solutions to address the pressing global energy crisis. Lastly, he discussed how data analytics can be employed to enhance energy utilization, reduce waste, and support the transition towards sustainable energy sources

The webinar was attended by the under graduate and post graduate students. The invited talk concluded with the vote of thanks by Prof. Jagjot Singh. The webinar was hosted by Prof. Sakshi.
