BBC Careers Tips on Application, CV and Interview Process

PG department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Doaba College in collaboration with BBC, organized Online Workshop on BBC Careers: Tips on Application, CV and Interview Process. Shruti Arora, HR Manager, BBC, shared information regarding BBC hiring process and the points one must keep in mind while applying to the organisation. She said that while writing one must avoid jargon and abbreviations and must try to customize CV and avoid generalizations as CV acts as sales brochure. She also highlighted the skill and characteristics BBC prefers while hiring an individual. Dr. Simran Sidhu, Head, Dept. Of JMC said that a technical workshop that focuses on art of writing resume for particular organization is essential in spreading awareness regarding placement, internship and training with media organization of repute. Around 62 students along with faculty members attended the workshop.
