P.G. Department of Mathematics of Doaba College organized an Intra-departmental Mathematics Quiz under the aegis of Ramanujan Mathematical Society @DCJ on 23rd September 2023 with the aim to celebrate the beauty of Mathematics and to help the students identify their capabilities and motivate them to learn and expand their mathematical knowledge. The quiz comprised a screening round of thirty questions in thirty minutes. A total of 10 teams participated, and each team consisted of four members of undergraduate and postgraduate classes. The top four teams were shortlisted for the final quiz. It consisted of five rounds namely Mental Ability, Visual Quiz, Problem Solving, Subject-based question, and Rapid Fire. TEAM ALPHA stood first. TEAM GAMMA stood second and TEAM DELTA stood third. Dr. Pardeep Bhandari congratulated the winners and motivated the students to participate more in such type of academic events to overcome their fear of maths. The Quiz was conducted by Dr. Bharti Gupta and Prof. Sakshi. The event was appreciated by everyone. The Quiz culminated with a valedictory function and vote of thanks by Prof. Jagjot Singh.
