Renowned photographer Mr. Karamveer Sandhu was the resource person for the workshop, delivering an engaging blend of theory and practical training. The sessions began with observational activities, encouraging students to develop a photographer’s eye for detail, perspective, and emotion. Students were introduced to the dual nature of photography—artistic and documentary—along with technical concepts such as histogram, grey scale, contrast, and Kelvin scale. They also learned about the exposure triangle (shutter speed, ISO, aperture), lenses, depth of field, focal length, and composition techniques, as well as camera settings including saturation, sharpness, filters, incandescent mode, and metering modes.
Special emphasis was placed on lighting techniques, related equipment, and their applications in different scenarios. Each session was followed by studio and field assignments, giving students real-time practice and the opportunity to receive constructive feedback. This immersive training not only strengthened their technical foundation but also encouraged them to approach photography with creativity and critical thinking.
