National Science Day celebrated with great zeal and academic enthusiasm to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by Nobel Laureate C. V. Raman. The highlight of the programme was an inspiring guest lecture by Dr. Manoj Kumar, CSIR Emeritus Scientist, Department of Chemistry, Guru Nanak Dev University. He eloquently traced the historical journey of the Raman Effect and emphasized the spirit of curiosity, perseverance, and scientific inquiry that drives innovation and nation-building.
