Cleaning of Statues of Martyrs on Kargil Vijay Diwas

With reference to the letter number 2051/SST Trg on 18-June-2021 from NCC Group HQ, Jalandhar, Department of National Cadet Corps, Doaba College Jalandhar organized a ‘Foot March’ to clean the statues of martyrs on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas. ANO Lt. Rahul Bhardwaj enlightened the cadets about Kargil war in brief. SUO Gulshan kumar and Cadet Boota Singh sang patriotic songs to fill enthusiasm in the contingent. Fifty five cadets of Army & Air wing started foot march from the college towards the bust of Late Lieutenant Sachin Khindria, who sacrificed his life for the country while serving in Siachin. NCC Cadets cleaned his statue and also paid a floral tribute. Slogans of "Bharat Mata ki Jai" and "Shaheedon ko Yaad Karo" were on the lips of each and every cadet during the march.

Dr. Pardeep Bhandari, Principal, Doaba College, motivated the cadets to keep up the good work. He spoke about Kargil martyrs and encouraged the cadets to be as brave as our soldiers are. He specially mentioned the valour of Captain Vikram Batra, who earned Param Vir Chakra posthumously. The Principal applauded the efforts of NCC wing and congratulated the contingent for the same.
