Zonal Level Geography Quiz Contest-2021- 22 (Jalandhar Zone)
Geography Association of Doaba College Jalandhar in collaboration with Association of Punjab Geographers (APG) organised a Geography Quiz Contest (Jalandhar Zone) of Association of Punjab Geographers on 16.04.2022 in the college seminar hall. A total of five teams Doaba College Jalandhar, D.A.V College Jalandhar, Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women Jalandhar and D.A.V University Jalandhar participated in this Geography Quiz Contest. Questions from total of five rounds namely Physical Geography, World Geography, Geography of India, Practical Geography and General and Locational Geography were asked to the participating teams as per the syllabus and format of the Quiz given by the Association of Punjab Geographers. Doaba College Jalandhar team comprising of Jasmeen Rattu, Raghav Sharma and Simran stood first, D.A.V College Jalandhar team comprising of Ananya Sharma, Harsha Dogra and Nikita Gurung stood second and Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar team comprising of Rajdeep Singh Lamba, Palakpreet Kaur and Sudhir Verma stood third. Dr. Pardeep Bhandri Principal of the College was the chief guest. Prof.A.K Trivedi, Prof.Onkar Singh, Dr.Ominder Johal, Dr. Suresh Margo, Dr.Avinash Bawa, Dr.Arshdeep Singh, Prof.Gulshan, Dr. Daljit Singh (HoD Geography) and Prof. Amit Kumar along with all the office bearers and members of Geography Association of Doaba College Jalandhar graced the occasion with their presence. All the team members who stood first, second and third were honoured with trophies and certificates. The winning team was also honoured with overall Winner Trophy. All the members of the participating teams were given the certificates.
The Doaba College Jalandhar Quiz team who stood first in this Zonal Level Geography Quiz Contest will now compete at State level Geography Quiz Contest of Association of Punjab Geographers to be held later this month at SCD Govt College, Ludhiana.
